Premium Bed Bug Elimination
Bed Bug Heat Treatment & Removal
Chemical sprays kill what they touch. But bed bug eggs? They survive. Then they hatch, and the whole cycle starts over. Our heat treatment kills every bug and every egg in a single visit. One treatment. Done.
Extreme Exterminating uses a professional glycol/water boiler system that’s safer and more effective than electric or propane methods. We’re one of the only companies in Southern Michigan running this setup.

The Most Effective Way to Kill Bed Bugs
Sprays kill what they touch. But bed bug eggs are hidden deep inside your mattress seams, wall cavities, and furniture joints — and chemicals can’t reach them. They hatch a few weeks later and the whole nightmare starts over.
Heat is different. We use the Heat Assault commercial heating system to raise the entire room well above 130°F. At that temperature, adults, nymphs, and eggs are destroyed — no matter where they’re hiding. It’s one of the only methods that actually gets the eggs.
No fumigation. No chemical fog. No packing up your life and leaving for days. Just heat. One visit. And the problem is over.
Our Heat Treatment System
How Our Bed Bug Heat Treatment Works
Not all heat treatments are the same. Ours uses a generator-powered boiler that circulates hot glycol and water through radiators and fans. Here’s the breakdown.
Setup & Seal
We bring in the generator, boiler, radiators, and fans. The treatment area gets sealed to trap heat. This usually takes about an hour.
Heat to Lethal Temp
Hot glycol/water circulates through the radiators while fans distribute the heat evenly. The room climbs above 120°F, which is lethal to bed bugs at every life stage. Adults, nymphs, and eggs. All of them.
Hold, Monitor & Clear
We hold that temperature for several hours and monitor with sensors throughout the space. Once we confirm every zone has reached lethal temp, we break down and you’re clear to move back in the same day.

Bed Bug Heat Treatment vs. Chemical Sprays
Most pest control companies default to chemicals. We offer both, but we recommend heat for complete elimination. Here’s why.

Warning Signs
How to Tell If You Have Bed Bugs
Bed bugs hide during the day and feed at night. By the time most people notice, the infestation has been building for weeks. Watch for these signs.
Bites in Rows or Clusters
Waking up with red, itchy welts in a line? That’s the signature pattern. Bed bugs feed along exposed skin while you sleep. Mosquitoes scatter; bed bugs follow a path.
Dark Spots on Your Sheets
Tiny brown or reddish-black dots on bedding, pillowcases, or mattress seams. That’s bed bug excrement. If you see it, the bugs have been feeding.
Shed Skins & Egg Casings
Bed bugs molt five times before reaching adulthood. Check mattress seams, headboard joints, and baseboards for translucent shell casings. That means they’re reproducing.
Sweet, Musty Odor
A noticeable sweet or musty smell in the bedroom, especially near the mattress. Heavy infestations give off a scent from the bugs’ scent glands. If you smell it, the problem is serious.
