Stinging Insect Removal Service
Yellow Jacket, Wasp & Hornet Removal
A nest on your property is not a wait-and-see situation. Yellow jackets sting multiple times. Bald-faced hornets attack in swarms. And paper wasps build where your kids play. Every hour you wait, the colony grows.

Stinging Insect Identification
Types of Stinging Insects We Remove
Each species behaves differently and nests in different spots. Knowing what you’re dealing with helps us respond faster. Here’s what we see most across Southern Michigan.
Yellow Jackets
The most common call we get. Yellow jackets build nests underground, inside walls, and under decks. They sting repeatedly and will chase you if disturbed. Never try to flood or plug the entrance. That makes them spread inside the structure.
Paper Wasps
You’ll find their open, umbrella-shaped nests hanging from eaves, porch ceilings, and playground equipment. Paper wasps are less aggressive than yellow jackets but will sting if the nest is bumped or threatened. Decks and patios are prime territory.
Bald-Faced Hornets
Large, black-and-white, and extremely aggressive. Their football-shaped nests hang from trees, shrubs, and building overhangs. A single colony can contain over 400 workers. Do not approach the nest. They post sentries and will attack anyone within range.
How It Works
How We Remove Stinging Insect Nests
We don’t just spray the entrance and leave. Our pest control team eliminates the entire colony, removes the nest, and makes sure they don’t rebuild in the same spot.
Call & Identify
Tell us what you’re seeing and where. A quick phone description is usually enough for us to know what we’re dealing with. We’ll confirm the species and schedule, often for the same day.
Locate & Treat
The nest gets a targeted treatment that kills the colony on contact. For underground nests, we treat the entry points and flush the chamber. No guesswork.
Remove & Prevent
When safe and accessible, we physically remove the nest. We also treat the area to discourage rebuilding. Stinging insects often return to old nest sites, so the residual treatment is key.
Don’t Wait It Out
When to Call for Nest Removal
Some people try to wait until fall when colonies die off. That works if the nest is 50 feet up in a tree and nobody walks near it. But most nests? They’re on your deck, in your siding, or right next to the front door.
If anyone in the home has a bee sting allergy, don’t wait at all. A single yellow jacket sting can trigger anaphylaxis. And unlike honey bees, yellow jackets and hornets can sting multiple times without dying.
Kids or Pets Near the Nest
Children and dogs don’t know to avoid a nest. One accidental bump can trigger a swarm response. If the nest is anywhere near a play area, walkway, or pet run, call today.
Nest Inside a Wall or Attic
Yellow jackets will build colonies inside wall voids and attic spaces. You’ll hear buzzing through the drywall. These are the worst to DIY because the colony can chew through and enter the living space.
You’ve Already Been Stung
If the colony is already defensive enough to sting, it’s too aggressive for a store-bought can of spray. Attempting removal yourself risks dozens of stings. Let us handle it.
